Course aims:

To describe the forms of creativity and their importance in everyday life
To describe the main theories and models of creativity
To Identify variables that significantly influence the creativity of preschoolers and primary school students
To identify didactic strategies that stimulate creativity in various group ages
To design didactic activities that promote creative thinking

Course contents:

1. Creativity: conceptual delimitation, creativity in various fields of life (science, art, organizational etc) 2. Levels, dimensions and criteria of appreciation of creativity / creative product. Creativity as a process 3. Theories of creativity (psychoanalytic, associationist, gestalt, behaviorist, humanist, multifactorial theories, cognitive models) 4. Variables that influence creative performance (individual, socio-cultural, contextual) 5. Forms of creativity (individual and collective, scientific, technical, artistic, organizational, etc.) 6. Evaluating creativity 7. Stimulating creativity

Teaching methods:

Lecture, conversation, exemplification, debate, case studies

Learning outcomes:

• conducting the teaching and learning process in preschool and primary school • counselling and psycho-pedagogical support for various educational groups • cooperation in interdisciplinary teams in order to carry out programs and projects in education • life-long learning

Learning outcomes verification and assessment criteria:

Written paper – 60%; Continuous assessment – 40%.
