Course aims:

Knows the theoretical base of school occupational therapy practice.
To provide information about educational policies.
To knows the main areas of social work practice within educational settings: bullying, anti-social behaviour, trauma and crisis intervention, social relationships, cultural and ethnic differences, family poverty, family violence, child abuse and neglect, school dropout, disability, attendance
To form abilities for designing interventions in school.

Lecture, conversation, exemplification.

Learning outcomes:

Discipline Occupational therapy in the school environment forms skills for preparing students for their possible inclusion in mainstream education and especially as occupational therapists.

Learning outcomes verification and assessment criteria:

Written paper –– 60%; project assessment – 40%.
