Course aims:

Explaining complex cultural phenomena in a multidisciplinary context.
Applying the optimal method for studying a complex cultural phenomenon and justifying the choice.
Developing an interdisciplinary study, with openness to other humanities disciplines, which includes specifying and justifying the chosen research method.

Explaining the role of the English language in the context of globalization.

Learning outcomes:

Presenting literary phenomena in their historical, social, and philosophical context, as well as in relation to the regional differences of their time.
 Explaining the forms of development of English-language literature (periods, genres, schools and literary affiliations, regional traditions, external influences, etc.)
Reviewing contemporary English-language literary texts by relating them to literary traditions, regional specifics, and ideological background
Discerning use of secondary literature, confronting and evaluating sources in order to formulate a personal stance (opinion)
