Course aims:

dentify and explain the main mechanisms of the labor market, including the interaction between labor supply and demand, and the impact of social and economic policies on employmen
Analyze national and European labor market policies and apply legislative provisions related to social protection and vocational training for the unemployed.
Promote inclusive and active measures for social integration, preventing discrimination and supporting lifelong learning for vulnerable groups.

Course contents:

1. The labor market—a social and economic space where labor demand meets labor supply
2. Legislation on social protection for the unemployed in Romania. National Employment Strategy 2021–2027
3. Promoting active social assistance measures for the unemployed. Labour market information The role of continuing education in preventing unemployment 
4. ANOFM – management, main objectives, and services offered
5. Discrimination in the labor market Socio-professional guidance for socially disadvantaged persons (criteria: gender, age, background, level of education, disability, ethnicity, and religion)
6. Vulnerable groups and the social economy 
7. Problems and needs identified among vulnerable groups.
8. The social economy in the context of social inclusion policies.
9. Aggression and crime – "strategies" of social exclusion and self-victimization. 
10. Theory and practice in adult vocational training; the need for individual and organizational vocational training; stages of vocational training; regulation and main objectives of vocational training;
11. Stages of vocational training; regulation and main objectives of vocational training in Romania; 
12. The vocational training system (initial vocational training, student internships; lifelong learning) 
13. Vocational training for job seekers 
14. Current EU policies and regulations in the field of education, vocational training, and youth (objectives, characteristics, and principles of European education and vocational training policy, transparency of EUROPASS qualifications, recognition of qualifications)
