Course aims:

Familiarization with the symptoms and signs of diseases specific to internal medicine
Patient anamnesis
Performing general clinical examination
Monitoring clinical and biological parameters
Ability to synthesize patient signs and symptoms into specific syndromes by organ systems

Course Entry Requirements:

General Nursing I, General Nursing II, Practical Internship from Year I, Semesters 1 and 2

Course contents:

  1. Anamnesis, observation sheet, general inspection, systematic inspection of regions
  2. Palpation of skin and subcutaneous tissue
  3. Subjective symptoms of respiratory diseases, objective examination of respiratory system, respiratory syndromes
  4. Subjective symptoms of cardiac diseases, objective examination of the heart, clinical manifestations of ischemic heart disease, angina pectoris
  5. Myocardial infarction, rhythm and conduction disorders, heart failure, valvular diseases, semiology of arterial and venous diseases
  6. Anamnesis and objective examination in esophageal, gastroduodenal, and intestinal diseases
  7. Palpation of liver and spleen, objective examination in liver cirrhosis, abdominal topography and pain points
  8. Paraclinical examinations in digestive diseases (ultrasound, endoscopy, radiology, laboratory)
  9. Anamnesis and objective examination of the urinary system, urine analysis, paraclinical investigations
  10. Case presentations on renal pathology
  11. Objective and paraclinical examination in anemic syndromes
  12. Objective and paraclinical examination in leukemias and lymphomas
  13. Pulmonary thromboembolism
  14. Objective and paraclinical examination in hemorrhagic syndromes
