1. The relationship between architecture and the program
iconographic
2. Theology of the iconostasis in relation to the program
iconographic
3. Iconography of the Dome: Pantocrator, Great Instruction,
pendants
4. The typological relationship between the Old and New Testaments
within the iconographic program
5. The Easter chandelier and the theology of light
6. Iconography of the Holidays (I)
7. Iconography of the holidays (II)
8. Iconography and hagiography (I)
9. Iconography and hagiography (II)
10-11. Interior and exterior iconography
12-13. Theological sources of iconographic programs.
Theoesthetics of the liturgical space
14. Iconography of the proscomidiary and the altar

Teaching methods:

Lecture, debate, presentation.

Learning outcomes:

At the end of the course the students will know the thematic evolution of the programs iconographic in the space of Byzantine and Romanian Orthodoxy

Learning outcomes verification and assessment criteria:

Oral exam 50%, essay 40% and implication in course debates 10%
