Course aims:

Training specialists in the field of criminal sciences and forensics
Acquisition of the fundamental concepts underlying professional activity in the legal field, through understanding how evidence is discovered, administered, and managed.
Acquisition by graduates of competencies that enable them to apply fundamental legal institutions to concrete legal situations, through the use of concepts, principles, and techniques from the field of Forensics

Recording the Results of the Crime Scene Investigation.  Evidence Management.

Crime Scene Investigation in Homicide Cases. 

Crime Scene Investigation in Offenses Against Property.

Crime Scene Investigation in Road Traffic Accidents. 

Crime Scene Investigation in Workplace Accidents. 

Crime Scene Investigation in Drug Trafficking 

Crime Scene Investigation in Firearms-Related Offenses. 

Crime Scene Investigation in Cases of Fires or Explosions. 

Crime Scene Investigation in Cybercrime Cases.

Particularities of Crime Scene Investigation in Human Trafficking Cases.

Teaching methods:

PowerPoint presentation, problem-based approach, logical demonstration

Learning outcomes:

Conducting forensic examinations at the scene of an incident or in a laboratory, based on data collected in accordance with forensic procedures

Providing legal consultancy, documentation, or information for the purpose of ensuring compliance with the law

Implementing cybersecurity policies, ensuring confidentiality, promoting human rights in criminal procedures, and issuing official documents

Learning outcomes verification and assessment criteria:

Written examination assessing theoretical knowledge; Practical activities / seminars evaluating students’ ability to apply forensic techniques, evidence collection, and analysis methods
