Course aims:

To know and apply the analysis and design techniques in strategic educational management: resource-needs analysis, context analysis, SWOT analysis, PEST analysis, task analysis, discrepancy analysis, cost analysis.
To know and promote the attributes of strategic thinking and other models of thinking compatible with strategic management
To elaborate an institutional strategic plan for a given school institution

Course Entry Requirements:

1. Fundamental concepts
1.1. Strategy, strategic system, strategic management.
1.2. Strategic thinking - decisive factor of strategic management:
2. Analysis and design techniques in strategic educational management
2.1. Education needs analysis
2.2. Analysis and administration of educational resources
2.3. Contextual analysis techniques:the SWOT analysis
2.4. Cost and sustainability analysis of the strategy.
3. Pedagogical design and strategic planning
3.1. Pedagogical design - a component of strategic planning:
3.2. Institutional strategic planning

Lecture, Examples, Conversation, Exercise, Algorithmization, Academic controversy

Learning outcomes:

- To Make a paper / presentation on one of the topics or sub-topics in the subjects of the discipline.
- Conduct a case study (“Ideal School”) of a school institution based on the resource-needs analysis of that institution.
 

Learning outcomes verification and assessment criteria:

Develop a portfolio of tools and applications in accordance with the specified requirements as outcomes.
