Course contents
Soil Science is a core discipline within environmental and agricultural studies, focusing on the origin, classification, and properties of soils. The course introduces students to the physical, chemical, and biological characteristics of soils, their role in natural ecosystems, and their importance in sustainable land use and agricultural productivity. Emphasis is placed on soil formation processes, nutrient cycles, soil-water interactions, and methods for soil conservation and management. This foundational knowledge supports further study and professional practice in agronomy, environmental engineering, and land resource planning.
