Course aims:

Knowledge, understanding, explanation, and interpretation
Knowledge and proper use of terms specific to infectious diseases
Knowledge of diagnostic criteria for main infectious diseases

Course Entry Requirements:

Students must have knowledge of basic Biochemistry, Immunology, Medical Microbiology, Parasitology, and Pathophysiology

  3. Etiopathogenesis, clinical picture, positive diagnosis, complications, etiologic, pathogenic, and symptomatic treatment
  4. Central nervous system infections; Meningitis:

  6. Digestive entry point infections:
  7. Meningeal syndrome: Acute viral and bacterial meningitis (case presentations, patient examination methods, discussions)
  8. Rash syndrome: Measles, Scarlet Fever, Rubella (case presentations, patient examination methods, discussions)
  9. Icteric syndrome: Acute viral hepatitis (case presentations, patient examination methods, discussions)
  10. Role of toxins in pathogenesis of infectious diseases:

  12. Zoonoses:
