The discipline aims to develop theoretical, practical and professional attitude skills, necessary for understanding and applying the techniques and styles of Christian art, in order to develop the capacity for artistic creation, aesthetic sensitivity and professional responsibility, integrating ethical principles, cultural values and digital resources in the process of creating and capitalizing on the artistic work.
Identifies and describes the main styles, techniques and materials used in Byzantine and post-Byzantine Christian art.
Analyzes and interprets the compositions and symbols specific to sacred art, in relation to the principles of Byzantine painter's manual.
Applies traditional painting and composition techniques in the creation of artistic works with Christian themes.
Develops the ability to plan the process of artistic creation, respecting the technical and stylistic stages.
Demonstrates a reflective attitude, professional responsibility and respect for the spiritual and cultural heritage of Christian art.
