Course contents:
- Relevant concepts and theories in the field of Occupational Therapy with children:
- Development of the occupation in childhood: concepts and theories on development during childhood, occupational skills and competences.
- Evaluation in occupational therapy with children from vulnerable groups: purpose of evaluation, standardized tests, advantages and disadvantages of standardized tests, ethical issues.
- Therapeutic intervention: motor control, ecological context, motor performance, motor dysfunctions, application of motor control and learning theories.
- Hand functioning, assessment and intervention: components of hand motor skills, factors that influence hand mobility, development of hand motor skills in children.
- Sensory integration: sensory integration theory, sensory integration problems, therapeutic interventions with children with sensory integration problems.
- Interventions to promote social participation in children: impairments of social participation in children, assessment of social participation, interventions for the development of social skills.

Learning outcomes:
-Students will know how to identify and evaluate occupational performance in children in specific occupational areas;
-Students will be able to identify and evaluate problematic situations related to children's behavior,
-Students will know the methods and intervention strategies for increasing the occupational performance of children in different areas of occupation,
-Students will know how to design and apply therapeutic interventions in children;
Students will know how to develop therapeutic relationships with children and motivate their participation in activities,
