Course aims:

Anatomical and functional correlations regarding human body structures.
Anatomical exploration of body structures, applied anatomy, and clinical correlations.
Understanding the structures of the human body, their organization into systems, and their interrelationships.

Course Entry Requirements:

General knowledge of Biology and Physiology at pre-university level.

Course contents:

Lectures (2 hours each unless otherwise noted)

1. Structural–functional foundations of the human body.

2. Locomotor system.

3. Respiratory system.

4. Cardiovascular system.

5. Digestive system.

6. Urogenital system.

7. Central nervous system.

8. Peripheral nervous system.

9. Endocrine system.

10. Reproductive system.

11. Hemolymphatic system. Morphological substrate of the immune function. Functional organization of sensory organs.

12. Fundamentals of human embryology (4 hours).

Lecture, conversation, exemplification.
