Course aims:

To use Romanian language at minimum A1 proficiency level from EFRL in context of Romanian communication.
To understand Romanian language and use familiar everyday expressions and very basic phrases aimed at the satisfaction of needs of a concrete type.
To be able to use Romanian language to introduce him/herself and others and can ask and answer questions about personal details such as where he/she lives, people he/she knows and things he/she has.
To acquire the basics informations about Romanian culture and civilization.
To interact in Romanian language in a simple way provided the other person talks slowly and clearly and is prepared to help.

Course contents:

Let's pronounce it right! The alphabet of the Romanian language. Phonetic transcription of the sounds of the Romanian language. Greetings. Moments of the day. Regular greetings and expressions. Self-presentation. Nationalities. Pronominal forms - personal pronoun, reflexive, interrogative. Expressing respect, politeness, personal pronouns of politeness. The family. Professions. The seasons, the months of the year, the days of the week. What we eat. Daily activities. Cardinal numbers; expressing order, ordinal number. What time is it - the hour's expression. Age. The verb - the present; the affirmative form and the negative form. Expression of a past action. Romania from a geographical perspective. Romania from the historical perspective. Romanian traditions. Representative Romanian personalities (writers, artists, sportsmen, etc.). Romanian society and politeness.
