Course aims:

Exercising intelligence, imposing the rigors of thinking, developing the method, logical qualities and linguistic qualities in order to form clear ideas about the history of Latin
The inclusion in a unitary and coherent structure of the problems regarding the history of the language
Formation of a wide-ranging orientation base towards the further deepening of the topics through individual study; correct mastery of specialized terms

2. Classical Latin - Caius Julius Caesar and the War Diary
3. Postclassical LatinPublius Cornelius Tacitus and the beginnings of the chronicle
4. Late Latin. Ammianus Marcellinus and the Transdisciplinary Historical Treatise
5. Latin in the Middle Ages Emperor Justinian and his Code of Laws
6. Medieval Latin. The capitulations of the Frankish kings and elements of legislation in the Middle Ages
7. Chancellery medium. Royal Donation Act: Geza I, King of Hungary, to Benedict Monastery

9. Latin in the Late Middle Ages. Treaty of alliance and obedience
