Meanings for the concept of literature a) general approach – the sociologic perspective; 2. b) literature as mimesis – the poetics of Aristotel; 3. c) literature as expression of subjectivity – romantic poetry; 4. d) the rhetoric notion of literature; 5. e) meta literature; 6. f) the receptivity of literature (the estetics of receptivity). 7. Literature as system: a) history of literature (approaches): organic approach, biographical approach, positive approach, immanent approach 8. b) poetics (approaches): legislative poetics ; descriptive poetics; 9. c) stylistics (approaches): the style as expression of subjectivity; the stylistic of the text; 10. d) rhetoric (approaches): classical rhetoric; modern rhetoric (neo-rhetoric); 11. e) the psychology of literature: classical approach; the literary psychoanalyze (psycho critique) 12. III. literacy skills 13. IV. The mode of existence of literary work: a) Russian formalism school; 14. b) structuralism, poststructuralism
Lecture, conversation, exemplification.
Teaching students the elements of the theory of literature: concepts of literature and metamorphose; b). poetics: legislative and descriptive; c) stylistics: the author and the text; d). rhetoric: evolution, the significance of elocution; e). the history of literature; f). literary critique; g) the psychology of literature. Practical use of the theoretical part of the course on various literary texts.
Written paper – interpretative essay – 50%; continuous assessment – 50%.
