• Construction life cycle • Construction monitoring in the pre-use phase • Construction monitoring in the exploitation phase • Displacements and deformations • Monitoring methods • Deformation analysis • Post-exploitation phase of the construction

Teaching methods:

Lecture, conversation, exemplification, field measurements, data processing.

Learning outcomes:

• Construction life cycle • Field measurements in order to determine any land/building displacement or deformation • Comparative analysis of monitoring systems, using repeated measurements. Deformation analysis. Results interpretation

Learning outcomes verification and assessment criteria:

Written paper – interpretative essay – 60%; continuous assessment – 40%.
