Course aims:

- mastering theological teachings from "good to read" books
- Biblical understanding of intertestamental Jewish messianism.
- the use of theological notions and themes in the anaginoscomena books.

Course contents:

1. Anaginoscomena books. Generalities.
2. The teaching of these books in the Orthodox, Roman Catholic and Protestant conceptions.
3. The book of Tobit. The contents of the book. Moral teachings.
4. The Book of Judith. The Passive Action of Judaism. The Role of Women in the Struggle to Preserve National Identity.
5. The book of Baruch. The author and contents of the book.
6. The Epistle of Jeremiah. Diatribe Against Idolatry.
7. The third book of Ezra. The contents of the book.
8. The Book of Solomon's Wisdom.
9. The Ecclesiastes, or Book of Jesus Sirah
10. Book I of Maccabees. The historical context of the book's appearance.
11. The history of the Maccabees and their struggle for the defense of the true faith.
12. Book II of Maccabees. The martyrdom of the seven brothers of Maccabeus, their mother and old Eleazar.
13. Book III of Maccabees. The Jews of Alexandria in the Intertestamental Period.
14. Theological and moral teachings in the "good to read" books. The idea of ​​resurrection in C. Macabeilor.
