Overview
Aims
to know and is able to apply the concept of dogma;--
to know and is able to explain the differences between the Orthodox dogmas and the dogmas belonging to the other Christian confessions;
to know the specific characteristics of the Orthodox dogmatics;
to define and explains the general evolution of the dogmas;
to apply the rules of an organized and efficient work, and manifest a responsible attitude toward the didactical-scientific domain, in order to creatively exploit his own potential, observing, in the same time, the principles and norms of professional ethics.
Course contents
1. The Creation of the World, Generally, 2. The Creation of the Unseen World: the Angels, 3. The Creation of the Seen World, 4. The Creation of the Man; the Conveying of the Souls, 5. The Primordial State, 6. The Ancestral Sin and Its Consequences, 7. The Person of the Savior Related to the Holy Trinity: Jesus Christ, God-Man and Man-God, Alpha and Omega, the Way, the Truth, and the Life, Namely the Creator, the Sustainer, the Meaning, the Unifier, the Change, and the World’s Destiny, 8. The Preparation of the Mankind for the Savior’s Coming, 9. Defining the Dogma of the Savior’s Person: the Hypostatical Union and Its Consequences, 10. The Kenosis, 11. The Savior’s Dignities and the Aspects of the Redemption, 12. The Resurrection and the Ascent of the Lord, 13. The Divine Providence, 14. The Objections against the Divine Providence.

Written paper-interpretative essay – 10%. Frontal evaluation/ Oral exam: 90%
