Course aims:
Deepening students' ability to build and manage databases correctly using the usual statistical analysis software
Correct use of the main data analysis techniques, in particular frequency distribution analysis, correlation and regression
Acquiring skills for sociological interpretation of statistical outputs ("reading" tables, graphs and indicators of correlation, regression, etc.)

2. The role of statistics in scientific research
3. The use of statistics in the profession of sociologist

Learning outcomes:
Acquisition by students of the skills of statistical analysis of variables and their relationships using, mainly, the usual statistical procedures, such as univariate analysis of quantitative characteristics, correlation, regression analysis
Learning outcomes verification and assessment criteria:
Elaboration of a paper for 2 hours that reflects 60% of the final grade and an analysis of a database that reflects 40% of the final grade
