Course aims:

to acquire communication skills, written and oral, in the field of theology and religions;
to use research skills and methods;
to acquire teamwork skills;
to acquire leadership qualities of research (and managerial) teams;
to identify the common roots of liturgical traditions in different Christian confessions so that can appreciate and understand more deeply their own liturgical tradition and worship

Course contents:

1. General introduction, 2. Preliminary issues in the research activity, 3. Documentation: methods and techniques, 4. Processing information, 5. Drawing and shaping conclusions, 6. Writing a scientific paper, 7. Where to publish, 8. Public presentation of a work.

Teaching methods:

Lecture, conversation, exemplification, PowerPoint presentation, video-projections etc.

Learning outcomes:

• Knowledge and proper use of concepts and current legislation regarding scientific and research activity, also specific principles of writings and publication in the field of theology; • To permit creative application of methods and models presented specific to the theology field; • To provide the necessary methodology and research skills for further study and research in liturgical topics.

Learning outcomes verification and assessment criteria:

Colloquium (heuristic dialogue) – 50%; written paper (interpretative essay) – 50%.
