Aims

Integration in a coherent structure of main theorizations and value landmarks recognised in the field as well as in connected domains

To develop a deep understanding of ethical principles, deontological values, and academic integrity within higher education.

What is ethics? What is university ethics? Interdisciplinary and integrative approaches., Deontology and morality. Academic integrity, Ethical codes and principles, Personal autonomy and academic freedom, Loyalty to the institution., The university lecture and seminar. Forms of academic activity for students., Preparation of teaching materials., Plagiarism and self-plagiarism. Ethical issues in research and publication, s.a.

 

Learning outcomes

The course content addresses the thematic areas of the field as approached nationally and internationally at this level of study, providing the foundation for the development of master’s students’ professional and transversal competences.

Assessment

Written paper – 70%; continuous assessment – 30%.
