Course aims:

To understand the role and the possibilities of intervention of the social worker in the in the current legislative and institutional framework
To acquire knowledge and skills for working with client systems
To develop understanding of and beginning competence in the promotion of social and economic justice, the alleviation of critical social problems, and the enhancement of human wellbeing

Course contents:

This course consist of supervised practice experience in a human service organization serving a variety of client populations. This course places emphasis on increased knowledge and skills for working with client systems. A major purpose of field education is to develop understanding of and beginning competence in the promotion of social and economic justice, the alleviation of critical social problems, and the enhancement of human wellbeing.

Learning outcomes:

• Understand the manner of organization and functioning of the social welfare system from Romania, • To identify the values and needs of different categories of beneficiaries of social services. • To use the social work professional ethic code in real intervention situations. • To use the observation methods in social work practice.

Evaluation of the practice report: completeness, presence and participation in activities, ability to learn from experience
