Course aims:

To acquire theoretical and practical knowledge regarding the learning and consolidation of the main elements specific to the game of volleyball.
To acquire knowledge about the main notions of regulation specific to the game of volleyball
To be able to develop the capacity of students with practical-methodical notions applicable in the physical education and sports lesson

Course contents:

1. Volleyball in the physical education lesson - means of physical education in primary and secondary schools - 4 hours 2. Selection in volleyball. Representative team of the school - 4 hours 3. Training stages - specific requirements and basic principles - 4 hours 4. Individual technique and tactics. Systematization of actions - 4 hours 5. Individual actions in attack: serving, lifting for the strike, strike- 4 hours 6. Individual actions in defense: recovering the ball from the serve and strike, blockage - 4 hours

Teaching methods:

Interactive lecture, PP presentation, video exemplifications, discussions

Learning outcomes:

Students should be able, after attending this course, to organize and teach a class on a given subject related to volleyball.

Learning outcomes verification and assessment criteria:

Course - Final assessment Written exam - 50% Seminar - Final evaluation - Grade for being able to organize and teach a class on a given subject - 50%
