Course aims:

1. To use and identify a new vision upon the educational services for children younger than 3 years old 2. To identify the principles of early education in the context of the contemporary education
3. To build activities for the development of the social and emotional behaviour of the ante pre-school children 4. To build educational programmes with activities aiming to increase the general respond to stimuli in order to develop the learning capacity and aptitudes
5. To perform activities of psychomotor care and stimulation for children in order to increase their level of independence 6. To build activities that ensure the formation and the perfection of the verbal behaviour for ante pre-school children
7. To manage correctly the relation with the families 7. To manage correctly the relation with the families
8. To use modalities of individualisation for the educational programmes

Course Entry Requirements:

The main objective of the discipline is for the students to develop competencies related to the knowing of the ante pre-school children and their education needs

Course contents:

1. Early education. The principles and the organisation of the early education in Romania 2. Psycho-pedagogical theories for the early education. Correlations with the main stages of development for the age of 0-3 3. Teacher’s competencies in the childcare institutions 4. Types of activities for the ante pre-school childcare services 5. Aspects related to the organisation of the educational environment and of the daily routine in ante pre-school childcare institutions 6. Applying the curriculum for the early education for the child under 3 years old 7. The specifics of teaching the child from birth up to 3 years old. The play for small children. The interaction of the child with the adult 8. The evaluation of the child. The observation of the child 9. Partnership for educational actions
