Course aims:

• Presentation of the main overall objective of discipline Community institutions and bodies through which the process of European integration is achieved
• Acquiring knowledge of the European construction through the main provisions contained community treaties, namely: objectives and mechanisms of each stage of integration, the rules governing Community policies, development and the role of institutions and bodies through which shall implement these
• Presentation of the main institutions (European Council, Council, Commission, Court of Justice and Court of Auditors) and bodies (European Economic and Social Committee, the European Central Bank and the European System of Central Banks), emphasizing the powers that were vested implementing and fi
• Study of the main mechanisms of decision-making process.

• Proper use of specialized legal language within a given topic debate • Appropriate use of theories, principles and legal concepts learned in a professional project • Doing a project or a study based on legislation, doctrine and jurisprudence relating to a specific legal issue • Doing a project or a study on resolving the legal issues raised by a concrete factual situation.

Learning outcomes verification and assessment criteria:

Written paper – interpretative essay – 80%; continuous assessment – 20%.
