Course aims:

Description of the basic concepts of human body functioning and the general mechanisms of disease
Integration of basic concepts into applied situations relevant to the human body in order to explain signs and symptoms
Identification of nursing needs imposed by the presence of signs and symptoms of disease

Physiology of the cardiovascular system – 2h
Physiology of the respiratory system – 2h
Physiology of the digestive system – 4h
Physiology of the renal system – 2h
Physiology of the genital system – 2h
Physiology of the endocrine glands – 2h
Physiology of the nervous system – 4h
Physiology of the sensory analyzers – 4h
Physiology of the muscular system – 2h

Lecture, conversation, exemplification.

Learning outcomes:

Acquisition of appropriate medical language; identification of main anatomical structures; descriptive and topographic recognition of human anatomical elements; correct mastery of exploration maneuvers and dissection techniques for normal anatomical structures; design and evaluation of practical activities specific to physiology; use of didactic materials and laboratory equipment specific to physiology; application of general and specific methods for exploring different systems.
