1. Introduction in civil engineering drawing. 2. General standards used in technical drawing. 3. The information box and folding of different paper formats. 4. Scales used for technical drawings. 5. Representation of the views. 6. Representation of views and cross sections. 7. Classification of cross sections and representation of break lines and hatches. 8. Dimensions used in technical drawings. 9. Rules for drawing timber building elements. 10. Rules for drawing reinforced concrete building elements. 11. Rules for drawing steel building elements.
Presentation, discussions, examples, practical applications, interactive graphic applications.
Knowledge of general standards used in civil engineering drawings. The ability to represent different spatial objects in views and cross sections. The ability to draw sketches and to perform the surveying of a real life object.
Drawing portfolio (40% of final grade), hand sketches portfolio (10% of final grade), written exam (50% of final grade).
