Course aims:

Acquiring the basics and concepts of education in, through and for the community and building the skills to create and sustain community partnerships for education.
Knowing the policies and practices regarding education in, through and for the community.
Explain the educational functions of the community subsystems in shaping the child's personality.
Analyze the specific aspects of the relations between the forms of education and the community environment.
Develop strategies to optimize education in the community.

Course contents:

Achieving education in, through and for the community: institutions, actors, forms, functions and roles Challenges and trends for early education and low schooling in addressing community education issues Strategies in designing, implementing and optimizing early education and small schooling in the community School partnership - community in projects for the development of educational services at local level.

Teaching methods:

Exposure, conceptual clarification, demonstrative example, debate.

Learning outcomes:

Knowledge and use of scientific research methodology in investigating and solving school problems and developing action / development projects Moral integrity, characteristic balance, critical attitude and conviction in promoting the authentic positive values of the social community.

Learning outcomes verification and assessment criteria:

Written paper - 60%, Seminar paper-40%
