Acquiring the main concepts of functional stylistics
Acquiring theoretical, operational and creative knowledge aimed at the current concepts, methodology, issues and contents of the discipline field
Formation of communication skills specific to the correct and appropriate use of linguistic norms in different communication situations

The object of Stylistics. The place of Stylistics between the sciences of language. Brief history of Stylistics. Directions in Romanian stylistics. Concepts, principles, methods used in stylistic research. Defining the concept of style. Aspects of defining and classifying language styles. Collective (functional) and individual styles. The qualities of style. The stylistic structure of the contemporary Romanian language; oral language; written language. The beletristic / artistic style. The publicistic / journalistic style. The scientific and technical style. The administrative / official style. The colloquial style. The epistolary style. The religious style.
Lecture, conversation, exemplification, applications
The ability to integrate and to use this knowledge in a professional perspective – the interpretation and classification of different types of texts with relevant arguments.
