Course contents
-Atmospheric composition; -Static atmosphere; -Thermodynamic processes in the atmosphere; -Solar thermal radiation and Earth-atmosphere system; -Sun and solar constant; -Short wavelength radiation in the atmosphere; -Earth and atmospheric radiation. Radiation balance; -The transport of heat into the atmosphere; -The thermal regime of the atmosphere; -The water cycle in the Earth-atmosphere system; -Air movement; -The hydrodynamic cycle; -Liquid precipitation -Snow -Evapotranspiration; The seminar covers the following main topics: -Components of the atmosphere; -Water vapor in the atmosphere; -Atmospheric pressure - atmospheric pressure measuring instruments. Air pressure variation with altitude; -Atmospheric humidity. Determining relative humidity of the atmosphere. Methods and instruments for measuring relative humidity and precipitation; -Air movement. Methods and instruments for measuring wind speed and direction; -Air temperature. Tools to determine and record the air temperature; -Solar radiation. Methods and instruments for measuring solar radiation.

Assessment
A two-hour written examination (70% of the final grade)Carrying out practical work. (30% of the final grade)
