Course aims:

Through the description of concepts, theories, paradigms, and methodologies used in the legal field, the aim is to familiarize students with new notions.
By covering the general part of civil law during the first semester of their first year, students lay the foundations for a subject studied over the course of three years.
The ability to analyze legal documentation regarding a case.

II. Sources of civil law. Application of civil law. 1. Concept and overview of the sources of civil law. 2. Normative acts as sources of civil law. 3. Custom or usage as a source of civil law. 4. Legal doctrine. Case law (jurisprudence). 5. Application of civil law in time, in space, and regarding persons. III. The civil legal relationship 1. General considerations. 2. Definition and sources of the civil legal relationship. 3. Characteristics of the civil legal relationship. 4. Structure of the civil legal relationship. IV. Elements of the civil legal relationship 1. Subjects of the civil legal relationship. 2. Content of the civil legal relationship. 3. Object of the civil legal relationship. V. Through the description of concepts, theories, paradigms, and methodologies used in the legal field, the aim is to familiarize students with new notions, enabling them to acquire specialized legal terminology and the tools of legal logic necessary for constructing field-specific arguments—both in writing and orally.
