Understand the notion of labour market, its related concepts, and the adjusting methods for labour demand and supply, taking into account the role of institutions and social policies involved in this adjustment process
Acquiring / improving the ability to identify labor market dysfunctions and to propose solutions (action plans) aimed at increasing the match between labor supply and demand
Developing the capacity to assess the strengths and weaknesses of a plan of action (social policy) aimed at improving the situation on the labor market

Private institutions for selection and placement of workforce
Learning outcomes
Understand how the major institutions involved on the labour market establish their goals and act to achieve it. • Acquisition / improving the ability to identify dysfunctions manifested on the labour market and to propose solutions (action plans) aimed to improve the matching between demand and supply of labour • Developing the ability to assess the strengths and weaknesses of an action plan (social policy) aiming to improve the situation on the labour market
Assessment
A two-hour written examination (60% of the final grade); The evaluation of a paper (40% of the final grade).
