Course aims:

Description of care techniques and methods, within own and delegated roles, for pathology groups
Explaining how care techniques and methods act in the context of disease evolution
Performing general and specific nursing procedures according to training level
Monitoring and evaluating patient progress and the effect of administered care
Developing and designing general and specific care measures to meet healthcare needs

Course contents:

  1. Familiarization with clinic organization and functioning
  2. Clinical observation and vital signs measurement
  3. Venous blood and urine collection – biochemical tests
  4. Venous blood collection – hematology tests
  5. Blood pressure measurement and ECG monitoring
  6. Stress test – technique and interpretation
  7. Temperature measurement and blood culture
  8. Chest X-ray preparation and assistance
  9. Transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography assistance
  10. Review and verification of internship and course portfolios
  11. Bibliography review
