Course aims:

• Customization to the specific terminology and expressions regarding management of projects in environmental field;
• Understanding basics related to best management of projects in environmental field for assuring sustainability of human society.
• Delivering theoretical and methodological basic notions related to management of projects in environmental field.

Course Entry Requirements:

Bachelor in engineering, preferably environmental engineering field

1. Introduction, aims and scope of the lecture 2. General remarks concerning management of projects in environmental field 3. Presenting management of projects in environmental field on different levels: 3.1. Presenting management of projects in environmental field on company level - Examples 3.2. Presenting management of projects in environmental field on local level - Examples 3.3. Presenting management of projects in environmental field on regional level - Examples 3.4. Presenting management of projects in environmental field on national level - Examples 3.5. Presenting management of projects in environmental field on European level - Examples 3.6. Presenting management of projects in environmental field on international level - Examples 4. Emphasizing interconnections between management of projects in environmental field and designing environmental strategies 5. Emphasizing the role of environmental institutions for managing and implementing projects in environmental field on different levels 6. Management of projects in environmental field in the context of optimizing products life cycles 7. Integrated management of projects in environmental field 8. The role of a proper management of projects in environmental field for assuring the sustainability of human society 9. Concluding remarks

Teaching methods:

Giving lectures, presenting real case studies, explaining case studies in the field of proper management of projects in environmental field, conversation, exemplification, applying hands-on methods.

Learning outcomes:

 knowing basic principles of project management;  knowing basic principles of management of projects in environmental field;  basic notions for approaching management methods of projects in environmental field;  gaining theoretical and methodological notions with regard to management of projects in environmental field;  good expertise retrieval and systematic knowledge on the basis of deeper insights within analyzing procedures of best management of projects in environmental field.

Learning outcomes verification and assessment criteria:

Oral examination – 40%; presenting prepared project – 40%; implication in solving problems during seminars – 20 %
