Course aims:

Familiarization with symptoms and signs of internal medicine diseases
Patient anamnesis
Performing general clinical examination
Monitoring clinical and biological parameters
Ability to synthesize patient signs and symptoms into specific syndromes by organs and systems

Course Entry Requirements:

General Nursing I, General Nursing II, Year I Internship Semesters 1 and 2, Internship Semester 3

Course contents:

  1. Anamnesis, observation sheet, general inspection, systematic inspection of regions
  2. Palpation of skin and subcutaneous tissue
  3. Subjective symptoms of respiratory diseases, objective respiratory examination, respiratory syndromes
  4. Subjective symptoms of cardiac diseases, objective heart examination, clinical manifestations of ischemic heart disease, angina pectoris
  5. Myocardial infarction, rhythm and conduction disorders, heart failure, valvular diseases, semiology of arterial and venous diseases
  6. Anamnesis and objective examination of esophageal, gastroduodenal, and intestinal diseases
  7. Liver and spleen palpation, objective examination in hepatic cirrhosis, detailed abdominal topography and pain points
  8. Paraclinical examinations in digestive diseases (ultrasound, endoscopy, radiology, laboratory)
  9. Anamnesis and objective examination of the excretory system, urine examination, paraclinical investigations in excretory diseases
  10. Case presentations – renal pathology
  11. Objective and paraclinical examination in anemic syndromes
  12. Objective and paraclinical examination in leukemias and lymphomas
  13. Pulmonary thromboembolism
  14. Objective and paraclinical examination in hemorrhagic syndromes
