Course aims:

Knowlege of concepts about sustainable development and the importance of interdisciplinary approach in designing energy-efficient buildings and sustainable urban planning.
Considerations regarding the most favorable orientation of the building on the site Geometric conformation and level of thermal insulation of the tire (details to minimize the effect of thermal bridges and high tightness) Ventilation with heat recovery
Performance criteria in designing buildings with near zero energy consumption nZEB, in accordance with the european legal requirements from recast directive EPDB.

Course contents:

  1. Introduction _ nZEB concept within the context of climate change.
  2. European Union goals for lowering energy consumption and greenhouse gases.
  3. The concept of urban adaptation concerning climate changes.
  4. Legal framework concerning buildings energy efficiency –European directive 31/2010/UE, European directive 844/2018/ UE, transposition in national laws.
  5. Principles of integrated design of energy-efficient buildings.
  6. Adaptability – architectural configuration of nZEB buildings
  7. Architectural and performant tehnical systems solutions related to buildings with the purpouse of lowering energy consumption and production of energy from renewable sources.
  8. Urban power reconfiguration – system solutions
  9. Energetic urban atlas – instrument for power reconfiguration
  10. nZEB green atlas - ”green adaptation actions”
  11. Strategies for urban resilience
  12. Case study _ area major power renovation
  13. The impact of embbeded energy over primary energy related to building usage.
