Course aims:

Acquiring in-depth knowledge of the moral and social role of the family today;
Realization of the importance of knowing the parents' debts towards the children and of the children towards the parents;
Developing the feeling of patriotism and assuming the Fatherland as a place of salvation in the ethnic communion of the nation;
Broadening the horizons regarding the forms of patriotic extremism - chauvinism and cosmopolitanism;
Knowledge of biblical and patristic grounds for defining and maintaining peace;

The family in the light of Christian morality; Christian morality and patriotism; The Christian conception of peace; The Church's responsibility in today's world; Theology and spiritualization of the Christian life (I-IV)

Teaching methods:

Lecture, exemplification, conversation, debate.

Learning outcomes:

Know the moral and social role of the family; Know the duties of parents to children and children to parents; Defines patriotism and knows the forms of patriotic extremism; Knows the Christian conception of peace and the biblical and patristic grounds for peace;

Learning outcomes verification and assessment criteria:

Lists parents' debts to children;Lists children's debts to parents:Defines the homeland and patriotism;He knows at least one biblical basis for peace;Written paper-interpretative essay – 10%. Frontal evaluation/ Oral exam: 90%.
