Course aims:

Knowledge, understanding of basic concepts, theories and methods of the field and area of ​​specialization; their proper use in professional communication
Use of basic knowledge to explain and interpret various types of concepts, situations, processes, projects, etc. associated with the domain.
Responsible execution of professional tasks, in conditions of limited autonomy and qualified assistance.

Course contents:

Différences entre l’oral et l’écrit, entre l’interprétation simultanée et consécutive ; classifications. Qualités du métier d’interprète. La simultanée. L’importance de la compétence linguistique en simultanée. Difficultés rencontrées par les interprètes (par ex. les unités de langue / unités de sens ; l’adaptation, la synthèse, traduction des idées principales…). Du mot à l’idée ; exercices. La consécutive. L’interprète de liaison. La prise de notes. Métier guide-conférencier.
