Course aims:

The ability to conduct independent theological research as well as to transfer theories, methods, and knowledge gained among Christian communities.
Ability to formulate, scientifically write, and publicly support arguments and theories in an academically appropriate manner.
The ability to identify problems and propose reasoned solutions to alleviate spiritual and social difficulties in the context of religious and cultural pluralities, and to establish valid options from the perspective of the doctrine and tradition of one's own Church.

5 Ethics of life and thresholds of life: birth, marriage, death
6 The greatness of being born
7 The ethics of the interval and the royal priesthood
8 Scholarly falsifications and exclusions of life
9 The sacramental dignity of life and of creation
10 Death as an Easter leap to Life

Lecture, debate, presentation.

Learning outcomes:

At the end of the course, master students will learn specific elements of life ethics; the historical evolution of the Church in a polarized cultural, political and social framework

Oral exam 70% and implication in seminars debates 30%
