Course aims:

To familiarize future professionals with the aspects that have to be included in order to carry out an objective evaluation.
Acquiring the knowledge necessary to develop rehabilitation programs of the most common disorders in pediatric pathology
Learning theoretical knowledge regarding the neuromotor development of the normal child

Course contents:

1. Recovery program in pediatric diseases. Newborn clinic exam - 2 hours. 2. Rehabilitation program in obstetric brachial plexus paralysis. - 2 hours. 3. Recovery program in congenital crooked leg - 2 hours. 4. Recovery program in progressive muscular dystrophy. - 2 hours. 5. Rehabilitation program in stiff neck - 2 hours. 6. Rehabilitation program in posttraumatic joint pain - 2 hours. 7. Recovery program in rickets - 2 hours. 8. Physiotherapy program in respiratory disorders - 2 hours. 9. Physiotherapy program in the childhood encephalopathy - 2 hours. 10. Recovery program for children with Down syndrome - 2 hours. 11. Child recovery program with autism spectrum disorders - 2 hours. 12. Arthrogryposis - Physiotherapy program - 2 hours. 13. Recovery program in varusequin congenital crooked leg - 2 hours. 14. Physiotherapy program cerebral motor infirmity - 2 hours.

Teaching methods:

Interactive lecture, PP presentation, video exemplifications, discussions, practical rehabilitation programs

Learning outcomes:

Students should be able, after attending this course, to know the child development stages and to carry out an objective evaluation on their own.

Learning outcomes verification and assessment criteria:

Seminar - Final evaluation - Grade for making a practical video after attending the seminars - 50% .
