Aims

This course is intended to introduce students to the issue of labor relations and the analysis of the labor market from the perspective of gender differences.

Use of public data in analyzing labor market issues

Management of information regarding gender differences in organizations;

Correct use of theories and concepts related to gender and the labor market

Course contents

1. Introduction 2. What is the labor market?
3. From biological sex to the transition of gender consciousness
4. The sexual revolution in Europe. From equality to equity
5. Theories of sexuality (Alfred Kinsey's theory)
6. Diversity management in the workplace
7. Gender equality in the labor market
8. Inclusion in work. Minorities and vulnerable groups
9. Discrimination and gender violence (at work)
10. Legislation and public policies.

Learning outcomes

Ensure gender equality in the workplace: Develop a fair and transparent strategy, focused on maintaining equality in terms of promotion, remuneration, training opportunities, flexible work and family support. Facilitate access to the labour market: Improve people's chances of finding a job by analysing the qualifications and interpersonal skills required, through training and development programmes, workshops or employment projects.
